Of Glaciers, Bears, and Whales: A Trip Up the Southern Alaska Coast

Speakers: Jeff Shapiro with Connie Caldwell

A 2023 September trip on an expeditionary vessel with a Road Scholar group yielded excellent opportunities to see a glacier and lots of marine wildlife. We learned much about the lives of glaciers, bears, diving mammals, marine plankton, and optimum cellphone photography through talks by onboard guides and student interns. All this despite our COVID isolation through half of the voyage.

Location: Contact Jeff for the zoom link at shap6102@gmail.com, please arrive a few minutes before 7.
