The Gulf Atlantic
Yacht Club was founded in 1976 to provide on-going sailing opportunities,
education, and fellowship for its members. Located in North Florida,
Gainesville has many large inland lakes and is ideally centered between
the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The club offers a racing,
cruising, and social schedule, as well as monthly programs on different
aspects of the sport.
Next Meeting!
Our next meeting is Monday, 10/20/08.
Meetings are (usually) held on the Third Monday of the Month at NORTHWEST GRILLE, 5115 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville. Dinner begins at
6:30 PM and meeting proper begins at 7:30PM.
Racing
The 2007 10th Annual 'Santa Fe' Regatta was postponed.
Cruising
The club has sponsored several cruises, including a week
long trip to Gasparilla/Captiva Island area.
